Hey GoldenNova I have a question for you that might be a good idea for a video. In the game of Yu-Gi-Oh; which extra deck type monster is the most useful, versatile, and powerful in general? Fusions, Synchros, Xyzs, Links. I guess also Rituals as they are kind of like Extra deck monsters in away. I've always wondered about this when I was talking to a friend who primarily uses Synchro extra deck monsters, while I like to use mostly Fusions & Xyzs.

(0:00) _pops back_ Day, MOTHA FUGGIN THREE, tryna figure out wtf can be done with... hol' on lemme check... yeah, the ONE friggin card I got from the WL archetype, unless all these "Adventure Token"-centric things are tied in here somehow. Orcust. Orcust Einsatz. For those not watching this video as part of the playlist it's in, this is video three. Of seven. Orcust archetype is FUGGIN SIXTH. Not complaining though, just acknowledging this is a long ride since I've got Word pulled up cataloging every card mentioned in this series (even the off-archetype ones), notating what synergies I can see (however worthless), in general making every 30 minute video into at least an hour's worth of doubling back and making sure I've got my stuff straight. If you haven't seen my word walls before, I keep some of my notes in these comments since I can use the time stamps to jump to particular cards. Of course I write this with the assumption that 99.99999999999...% of y'all won't do a thing more than scroll to the bottom of this mess and move on by IF you bothered to hit "read more" at all, but for the maybe one dude-dudette 13 years from now that'll see this, idk why you're here, but I hope you have a good day and maybe get a laugh at some of the stupid connections I make in these comments. As I write this, I've never actually played a Yugioh game before, so I'm researching all this to make my first ever TCG deck, which is why comments I leave tend to mention a few recurring cards in particular when most have little or no place in the meta if they've ever even had any at all. It's not that I'm unaware of gemini monsters having slow, lackluster effects, Ancient Gear Knight just looks awesome and was one of the first 15 cards I picked up off the ground at my old high school years and years ago. I've seen Ratta's videos on Genex, and can assure you NO part of that archetype was meant to make Genex Ally Triforce out of Genex Controller and AG Knight. Paleozoics don't run Ancient Gear Engineer, Labyrinth Wall has nothing to do with any of these, and Gem-Knight Quartz can only set 1 of four continuous fusion spells of which 1 is banned, 1's irrelevant, 1's archetype specific and the other can't use G-K Quartz as material despite using monsters in the Grave. Anyway, if you'll excuse me, I gotta edit this comment over and over again to add new and exciting information from this very well put together video (if Golden Nova's previous vids are to be taken as reference) regarding an archetype of cards I might not even use depending on if, AT THE END OF THIS APPARENTLY WEEK-LONG RESEARCH EXTRAVAGANZA, I can find a singular setup that synergizes well with at least some of my otherwise completed unrelated favorite cards. Feeling inspired to try and make a line of custom cards in a similar vein though. Not for play, just for story, though perhaps the whole urge is just a noob thing I'll grow out of. _shrugs_ (0:20) _rubs eyes_ Old... at fuggin six.... my guy XD (2:52) OH NO YOU DON'T! Girsu the Orcust Mekk-Knight (machine/ DARK/ level 4/ ATK 1,800/ DEF 0). So... this can be used to synchro a level 6 on its own if the stars align. Running paleo, that'd mean setting a trap in the same column as an enemy spell/trap, normal summoning this card, using one of the tokens to synchro your level 6. _Checks_ Ah, good, I updated my list of Genex synchros to include levels. .... aaaand, right, those need Genex Controller specifically _as the tuner_. GC also can't synchro into its archetypal allies with Girsu as the non-tuner unless you want Genex Ally Triforce (ATK 500/ DEF 2,100) WITHOUT any effect at all. Thankfully, the token on the enemy's field gives Paleozoic Dinomischus a target you can freely banish without shooting yourself in the foot in the process. *realization* PRIMADONNA! I literally have Deep Sea Prima Donna and forgot it. GC + non-tuner Girsu = Deep Sea Prima Donna, who can then retrieve Paleo monsters that've been banished by their own effects or any banish fodder Dinomischus had to get rid of togo into the GY. Orcustrated Einsatz can also banish Girsu straight from the deck, giving Paleozoic Leanchoilia a valid target to send from the shadow realm to the GY where Leanchoilia can join it (though, to be fair, that's also true of any "Orcust" or "World Legacy" monster). Now just gotta find out why I've now seen 2 "Orcust" cards dead set on playing with the GY... (4:07) YOU MEAN I QTE PAUSED ON THAT FREEZE FRAME FOR NOTHING?!?? (6:48) Well... that's one way to bring Girsu from the grave. Gonna be a weird-lookin field though, and not much odds of pullin' it off. Best case, Green dies, the thing that killed it is in line with somebody's spell/trap, Girsu fills the hole Green left, summon tokens, synchro. Problem is they'd have to knowingly attack into Green with ZERO knowledge of the card effect printed on the card. Yes, it's a joke Yugioh players don't read, but I don't like betting on that when we're talking about an archetype everybody's already hyper-aware of and might be playing cards from themselves. (8:08) Wall Shadow, of the Labyrinth Wall/ Gate Guardian archetype. Summoned only via equipping Labyrinth Wall (0/3,000) with Magical Labyrinth and then tributing them by the latter's effect, Wall Shadow is level 7 monster with 1,600 ATK & 3,000 DEF, being a great deal harder to bring out than the 800/3,000 MK Orange. This old as heck set of cards seems to be always be nagging at the back of Konami's mind, as somehow this Forbidden Memories era archetype has a friggin link monster (Guardian of the Labyrinth) and is apparently coming to Rush soon if I read correctly. I kid you not, if the reason MK Orange doesn't have higher ATK turns out to be because they didn't want to power creep _FRIGGIN WALL SHADOW OF ALL THINGS,_ I wouldn't be one bit surprised. (9:22) YEAH, BABY! PALEO! (15:19) You can s. summon Crusadia Krawler into a zone Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax points to, MKC Avramax will protect it, and Crusadia Krawler will search a "World Legacy" card as a result. Also, any "Ancient Gear Golem" variant (if tribute summoned normally) can stop this card in its tracks. AG Golem- Ultimate Pound can even take advantage of their tied ATK values, as its destruction effect allows you to add 1 "Polymerization" from the deck to the hand and (if you do) add 1 "Ancient Gear" monster from the GY to the hand. If AG Box _was_ in the GY when this occurred, its effect will then trigger, allowing you to add ANOTHER Ancient Gear monster to the hand, which can start looking like a certain kind of "Giant" problem pretty quick thanks to poly. (19:06) WELP, that's another archetype to look up lol.

(3:09) Building on that, we start with a Krawler that (flip effect) can destroy one of your own set Paleo's to have it ready in the grave. (3:41) Setting Paleo's too slow for ya? Send 'em straight from the deck to the GY, no questions asked. If you're otherwise playing with a fusion spell that lets you use materials in the GY, this sets up that as well. (4:45) That's an archetypal pun. I do agree though, by the time the opponent catches up with our other support cards we'll have already _RANvier_ them over. (5:15) THAT is an effect for either Scrap archetype synergy or (with some weird setup) blowing Geartown of the Ancient Gears. (12:45) It's all fun and games 'til Toon World grow 8 legs and two links. (random) Y'know... if you're really itchin' to kick Jade Insect Whistle in the pants for some very weird reason, you could add a copy or two of Krawler Spine in your deck. You DO get to pick which insect mon' you dredge up, so you can surprise your opponent with a free pop. (19:06) AND WOULDN'T YA KNOW, A TRAP MONSTER! (21:26) Strange place to find Labyrinth Wall support but aight. This notably lets you bring up Labyrinth Wall, Guardian of the Labyrinth, Wall Shadow (-IF it has been properly summoned previously), Labyrinth Heavy Tank and Shadow Ghoul of the Labyrynth. Btw, gotta respect Labyrinth Heavy Tank for respecting the old school rules- it's a level 7 that can be normal summoned without a tribute. For those wondering why the heck you'd run Magical Labyrinth (the EQUIP spell required to "totally not ritual summon" Wall Shadow), it's because Wall Shadow also happens to be level 7, and Labyrinth Wall is a (level 5, sadly) normal monster that resultingly benefits from Gemini, normal, & tenyi support that would give you an extra normal summon that turn. Get your two normal summons or otherwise get Labyrinth Wall to the field, equip Magical Labyrinth, special summon Wall Shadow via Magical Labyrinth, normal summon Labyrinth Heavy Tank (which can be Uka'd, btw. 2,400/2,400). Now you're prepped for a rank 7, and for those counting that's 3 summons w/o Uka and 4 summons with. Note that Labyrinth Heavy Tank cannot attack the turn it is NORMAL summoned, so if you need it for more than a shield you'll either be going for the thunder/wind/water devils via its other effect or you'll need to s. summon it... or just wait. Also, World Legacy "World Crown", can be Transmodified into Labyrinth Heavy Tank as needed, being a level 6 and both of them being Dark attribute machines.

Dude I searched up "World Legacy yugioh" cuz I had one card that mentioned it, I did NOT realize there's be a SEVEN VIDEO EPIC to be read lol Edit: (18:58) AND NOW I GOTTA RESEARCH WHAT THESE CHARMERS ARE TOO. FAHK. (20:07) Not that Ancient Gear Knight desperately needs its effect, but there's Gemini support regardless.... Actually, Genex Controller benefits as well. (20:28) Ooh-la-la... (21:03) Now that's interesting. Ancient Gear Hunting Hound is, as far as I can tell, the archetype's resident level 3, and acts as a walking/ barking fusion spell. If you draw that and this spell, you can transmodify it (if you don't need the fusion effect for some reason) to get Ancient Gear Frame, which searches AG Golem and (if destroyed w/o its effects being negated) summons that AG Golem to the field. Problem is, you're more likely to draw one of the archetype's numerous level 4s, meaning transmodify's only target (that I'm aware of) would have to be Ancient Gear Engineer if not some out-of-archetype machine (still new, forgive me for not knowing one off the top of my head). Good news is that both AG Hunting Hound and Ancient Gear Engineer are searchable with Gizmek Uka. "Why would you want to search AG Engi of all things with Uka?" Well if you've got transmodify in-hand, and no other EARTH/ machine monsters in your deck with equal attack and defense, and you for SOME reason don't feel like t-modding Gizmek itself into Ancient Gear Dark Golem (which is EARTH attribute for some reason) you can use Gizmek to s. summon AG Engi, then t-mod that into Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera. ... Or in other words, "You would not, and would rather go from Uka to Hunting Hound to then pull any of the legion of better level 4s the archetype has to offer if its fusion services were for some reason not of good use". Ancient Gear Canon, bless its engine, is probably the most searchable machine in the whole archetype and t-mods into Ancient Gear Hunting Hound. 500 ATK *AND* DEF, so works with AG Box, Machine Dupe, Uka, Link Spider, you name it.... buuuut there's little use t-modding it when you could tease out AG Hunting Hound directly without begging Nibiru to make an appearance. It *IS* notable for NOT having a once/turn effect on its burn damage though, so you could- Normal summon 1 AG Canon. Machine Dupe to have two, tribute both for 1,000 burn. Activate a set World Legacy Landmark to banish 1 World Legacy 'mon from the GY and re-summon 2 AG Canons, tribute both again for another 1,000 burn (totaling 2k this turn). If you have Link Spider in-hand AND World Legacy Landmark, you could Machine Dupe AG Canon to have all 3 on the field this time, tribute them for 1,500 burn, trigger WL Landmark to resummon 2, get rock'd by nibiru, then link off the primal being token (1,000 ATK) into link spider. TLDR: Lots of non-sensible shenanigans to be goofed with.

i love these decks decks, expessialy yours with a flame swordsman/red eyes mix tho its my first time watching, so im not up to date on what decks you played yet but if possibal i want to see the Fossils be played i believe it was Jim Crocodile Cook who played it so it should be a viable option for this if done already can you point me towards it if it hasent make a thing please

(16:54) _Happy Ancient Gear noises_ (22:20) These can use Gem-Knight Quartz to power their negates, though this does mean Gem-Knight Quartz can't activate her own effect while doing so. (22:45) Huh, didn't know this existed before. (24:00) Sheesh. As if Quartz didn't work hard enough on her own (SETS a continuous fusion spell from the deck via handtrap effect, IS a valid fusion material for any fusion monster in her archetype) once you've already used her to set a continuous fusion spell you can then banish her for one last bit of utility to negate an enemy monster's effects. Ngl though, at that point you'd have to be either kinda cruel or desperate to do it. (24:10) _-TO THEN SPECIAL SUMMON HER TO THE FIELD, ALLOWIJG HER TO BE TRIBUTED BY THE SAME CONTINUOUS FUSION SPELL SHE WAS DISCARDED TO SET!!_

(11:29) Gem Merchant notably works with Ancient Gear Knight, boosting its ATK/DEF to 2,800/1,500. (20:45) Gem-Knight Quartz (my personal favorite) can 1.) Serve as the "Gem-Knight" material for this card or 2.) serve as the fairy-type material for this card, AND can do so after having set the fusion spell to bring this card out herself. ... she can also set Future Fusion/ Over Future Fusion to in turn send Ancient Gear Golem from the deck to the grave. This doesn't help traditional AG decks much since the Ancient Gear archetype doesn't have relatively much GY support rn, but I digress. (21:55) & (22:31) The primal being token brought to the field by Nibiru should count for these IIRC. Pyroxene Fusion (35:27) might be able to pull this off.

This archetype needs more Spell/Trap support to enable different playstyles and make the strategy you DO have a but more sturdy. Clear Wall is definetly a good start, mainly because it encourages playing their boss monsters to make the Field Spell more actively devastating. But I'd love to see some protection for said Field Spell since, right now, the archetype is almost as fragile & reliant on it as pre-support Malefics and Earthbounds which is NOT a good thing to be compared to.

Solo mode is nice for practicing combo decks without wasting a real person's time. Aside from that, the AI is dumb and the opponent's decks get absolutely crushed by any cohesive deck.
